Arlinda Perez is a 4th-year transfer from East Los Angeles. She is majoring in Social Welfare and plans to attend graduate school after her time here at UC Berkeley. She is part of many communities on campus such as Student parent, EOP, Underground scholars,TRIO, and DSP. She does research on the examination of youth incarceration in Oakland schools. Arlinda serves as a pillar to the communities that are underprivileged, underrepresented, underserved, or low socioeconomic status, and those from her own neighborhoods. She hopes to further her service as a non-profit organizer and pursue work in social welfare advocating for underrepresented communities.
